Free Bingo at a price!

I love Free Bingo games and really enjoy the no pressure atmosphere that you get in a game between games, but there are far too many Opt in games that have wagering requirements to get you to the FREE game, which means that the FREE game isn’t free!
These conditional Free games are really making an impact on most Bingo platforms and I think that it’s time to call an end to it. I know that we can’t tar all sites with the same brush, because some of these games are actually good fun and worth playing.

The best I have seen this year is the Go Fish game at Tombola. The wagering requirements are to spend £2 a week in any room and you then get access to the cool (seriously cool) Free Fish game that plays every day for a week, starting on Monday mornings.

But there are other games out there that require a £60 commitment to get you to a £10,000 “Free Jackpot”. That’s serious money to your average Bingo player and to be honest the pot isn’t worth it. OK £10,000 is a bucket load of cash, but not everyone that meets the wagering requirements go through to play the game. So you could deposit and play through £60 and not win a “Free” ticket to the Free Ticket game.

On the same note, league games are just as bad. In order for you to be anywhere near the top of the leader board you’d need to be on a Caffeine fix and stay up for the next three days. It’s not the way to play Bingo and it’s turning our favourite games into horrible free-4-all.

We play Bingo for the game not the pot. OK a tasty £1,000 or a £10,000 Link game is great, but paying 20p for a £500 pot is the way to go. It doesn’t break the bank and it doesn’t hurt if you lose. Simple games with simple pots is just simple maths. Simple!
